The bird is the word and Raising Canes on 253 Cochituate Road in Framingham just opened! The grand opening was yesterday, May 20th 2025.
I did not get any chicken, because it was too busy, but I’ll be back later to try it after the new restaurant rush is complete.
ONE LOVE TO RAISING CANES AND THE WORKERS FACING THE RUSH ON THE FIRST DAY, EVERY WAN WANTED TO TRY THE CRISPY CHICKEN FINGERS WITH THE SAUCE!!!!!

“We only have honey here!” – says the Seagull

Shout out to Raising Canes!!
Some info about the location…..
The path from Raising Canes at 353 Cochituate Road has many names, commonly known as Rte. 30 or Comm. Ave.
The formal names of these roads are Route 30 and Commonwealth Avenue.
Moving east towards Boston, we travel down Cochituate Road, and it changes names to Commonwealth Road, according to google maps, when it crosses Speen Street.

I have published a video on the ebike riding down speen street, there is a bike lane, and according to the video, it does not look very safe. Yet, there is paint on the road to indicate the bike travel lane, it still does not feel very safe, here!!
Moving on past Speen Street, we go up!!!
Well, actually, we are traveling east, here!!
Continuing on Commonwealth Road into Wayland, and across the bridge for Lake Cochituate and the Cochituate State Park, I’ve archived this video where I visit the boat landing at Cochituate State Park on Rt.30 here!!
See, even I still insist, that it is called rte.30 throughout the way into Boston. The pigeon stipulates, here!! According to the Seagull, it is Rte.30 the whole way.
As we enter into Weston, Commonwealth Road turns into South Ave.

As we enter into Newton, we pass by the famous and world-renowned Norumbega Park!!
This is a framed poster that I have hanging on the wall in my loft, welcome to the Pigeon loft, here!!!!!

Here is where the cart path begins and the carriage roads can be seen alongside the main road, this is truly a sight to see, as it is a relic from the past. Horse and buggy’s used to be parked here, and it was created so people could park along the road without blocking traffic, along with other safety reasons. Safety First!!
Also, for some reason, South Ave changes names to the formal name of Commonwealth Avenue.

This building is still here, and open for boat rentals!!

Now the Marriott exists where the park used to be.
Norumbega park at the time must have really been where it’s at. I wonder why it is gone and how it changed hands to become a hotel. If it was popular and very busy, as it seemed to be at the time, then what happened!! I’ll have to research this wan, here…..

Any hoot, the Rte.30 follows along The Charles River on the way to the Boston Harbor, and eventually we arrive at The Boston Public Garden and Boston Common!!!!!!
