If you want to start IRL LIVE STREAMING, get an android phone. If you can get a flagship phone or a newer android phone with a nice camera, you’ll be all set.
Get an unlimited data plan for IRL live streaming.
Get a second phone, or use another device that you can use as a second phone to read your Chat feed and perform other tasks like checking for donations or if you need to read incoming messages from other apps. If you are meeting up with people while you are live streaming, you will need a way for them to contact you that does not disrupt the live feed. If you use the streaming phone to accept a phone call, it will mute the stream, and could also show a standby image or a blank screen depending on the streaming app and settings.
Charge your devices before you start your live stream and go IRL. Bring extra cell phone chargers, cables, and battery banks if you can.
If you have a second phone to read chat, you can use a hotspot, so that way you don’t necessarily need to upgrade to a second phone number and data plan.
After that, just go live!!!
Oh yeah, if you are on android, I recommend IRL Pro. The Prism app app also works too, and I believe it is iOS and android compatible for IRL live streaming. If you have an iPhone and the prism app doesn’t suit your needs, you can also check out an app called Moblin which is compatible for live streaming on Apple cell phones.
On android you will have more capabilities for your stream settings as well as less limitations with overlays which are used to display donations on the live feed.
To accept TTS donations while IRL live streaming, I recommend either streamelements or powerchat. There are other platforms such as streamlabs and a new platform that came out this year called livebeam. I suggest streamelements or setting up a cash app account that way you can accept donations without any fees being taken by the platform for each transaction.
Direct support is always the best support!
Support your favorite live streamers!!!
Stay tuned for more information on setting up overlays and other settings for stream recommendations! Also, I can outline how to set up your own local obs server to accept your live stream so you can record the broadcast simultaneously from home!! If you have any issues with the live feed, try to lower your bitrate, use variable bit rate, with adaptive frame rate, and also you can drop the live feed to 720p or 480p… Because a live feed that is still broadcasting and not cutting out with interruptions is better than wan with lost footage that is gone forever because it never reached the broadcast!!!!!
